P/T Nanny, 14 month old child, Derbyshire

Part-Time
Derbyshire

An adorable 14 month old boy is looking for his first part-time Nanny, Mon to Fri before and after nursery. He’s a favourite at nursery due to his ready smile and happy personality.  He has busy working parents who are hiring a nanny now to enable a better work/family life balance.  The family are located in the lovely village of Breaston in Derbyshire with shops and park close by and the nursery is a 10 minute walk/5 minute drive from the home. The family have a friendly cocker spaniel dog.

Your day will start at 7.30 am to help get him ready for nursery and drop him off at 8 am.  You will return later in the afternoon say 4.30/5 pm to prepare his dinner – no allergies and he is a hearty eater, and to make enough for the parents’ dinner too who are usually home by 6 pm.  Nothing complicated, just a normal family meal for the three of them. Collect from nursery between 5 & 6 pm, dinner, bath and bedtime routine finishing around 7 or 7.30 pm.

If you would like a few more hours weekly it can be worked out, for example he could be picked up at nursery at 4 pm, or if you like dog walks this can be built in to the role.  They currently have a dog walker.  Occasional evening babysitting to allow the parents to have a date night perhaps once per week or every 2 weeks. There might be a rare overnight stay and you would have your own room and bath on the top floor of the house ensuring privacy.  The family travel quite often during school holidays to Spain and Portugal and would be happy for the nanny to travel with them or occasionally if she wished, but this is not essential.

This is a lovely role for a nanny looking for a part-time job. The family will be flexible in making it work for the right candidate. Excellent checkable references, paediatric first aid and DBS please. Driver too due to location unless you live close by in the village.

  • Start ASAP
  • Salary – £15-25 gross/hr DOE.
